Happy Summer Birthdays to: Rocco, Emily, Nihal, Leo and Liza.
I hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day Weekend! On Tuesday we went outside to read some stories with our beach towels and play Duck, Duck Goose. We went over CVC words and wrote them on our white boards as well. We had snack outside on our playground too. We continue to learn subtraction and discussed the minus and equal signs and also reviewed the plus sign with addition. We completed subtraction problems using counting blocks. On Wednesday we learned about water safety and talked about us becoming a life guard. We practiced our May crowning. Due to the weather, we moved our outdoor May crowning to Monday, June 2 1:45 in the Mary Garden. We got ready for our camping day by starting a project about camping. We learned about the Ascension of the Lord this week and how Jesus went up to heaven to be with his Father. On Thursday we had Disney Day. We went on a parade to show off our Disney stuffies to Kindergarten. They loved them! We made Mickey and Minnie puppets, read several Disney stories, went on a virtual tour of Disneyland and had ice pops as we watched the song Let It Go on the Smartboard. We went on a parade in our classroom with our stuffies using our Music scarves. Today we had Camping Day. We read camping stories, played a camping game, went on a scavenger hunt and painted a campfire with marshmallows. We had popcorn for snack and made smores for snack! Mrs. McNulty showed us how to build a real fire out of logs and newspaper. What a great day! Please refer to the calendar I sent home for the special days we have next week. Monday we will go straight on the playground to have our Pre-k Brunch first thing in the Monday. Also, Logan's family will bring pizza for lunch on Wednesday, June 4. Thank you Logan! God Bless, Mrs. McNulty
