ART EXPECTATIONS CONTRACT
            This contract is intended to benefit everyone to ensure productive learning experiences in all Art classes to create a positive classroom at all times. Every school year there are new challenges and opportunities for students, and this agreement provides the necessary steps for everyone to meet these goals. 
 
In our Art class, I expect you to promise to be an ARTIST:
A         ATTITUDE        - Have a positive “I CAN DO IT” attitude. Follow directions.
R         RESPECT          - Respect Ideas, Feelings, Things and People. Always be  
                                         kind to others.
T         TRY                    - Try Your Best, No “ I CAN’T ”.
I          IMAGINATION - Show your creativity and make unique art!
S         SAFETY             - Be responsible and make good choices.
T         TARGET             - Stay on Task, Use Time Wisely, Come Prepared to class
 
  
You can expect me to:

• Be respectful.
• Be organized and ready to begin Art class.
• Be responsible and prepared to teach you
• Challenge you with exciting and educational projects!!
• Explain what you don't understand to help you succeed!

 
I encourage good choices in my Art classroom. When a student does not comply with these guidelines, I will remind him/her of acceptable behavior the first time.  If negative behavior continues, I will send home a warning. If necessary, I will implement the consequences as deemed by school policy, which may include adversely affecting the student’s participation grade for the quarter.
 
Please understand that this contract is meant to help both parents and students. With cooperation in following these expectations, developing and practicing our school motto of respect, justice and responsibility in my classroom,  everyone can have a valuable learning experience in Art class.

Parents/Guardians/Students: It is encouraged for you and your child (children) to read this together so that everyone understands and is able to follow my expectations at all times. You are welcome to print this out and keep it close at hand as a reminder.
