December Skills/Sport:
This month, we will begin basketball skills. Students will start with passes, learning how to do bounce and chest passes. For students in grades K-2, I recommend a rubber ball about the size of a basketball. All students in grades 3-8 should have their own basketballs! We will move on to dribbling, left, right, and crossovers. Students should be able to dribble with both hands. We will then practice shooting the ball into the hoops. Practice at home is strongly encouraged!

Crosses and Crunches:
Lying down on the floor, students make a "cross" with their feet, making sure their feet don't touch the floor.
Crunches are done with bent knees, hands behind their head, and lifting all but the lower back off the floor, pausing for 3 seconds by breathing out through their mouth, and lowering back down to the floor.
